Anti-Inflammatory eating.

Well the new year is a great time for a new start.  Many people are dieting, for me that really never seems to work, here is a little about what I am doing.

I think that many of the diet programs out there make a lot of promises without delivering on them.  I really think that the changes we want will come through educating ourselves and hard work, pretty much like everything else in life.  Diets only work for so long, and when you get off the program results fail because our habits really never changed.

Here is a short video that I liked and it has lots of tips on how to do it.

I liked what Dr. Weil has to say about dieting here.

Did you know that according to Christopher Adams a molecular biologist “Eighty percent of what you perceive as taste is actually smell”.

Dr. Alan Hirsch actually provided his patients with a fragrant inhaler of peppermint to use prior to eating and discovered his patients lost an average of 5 pounds per month with no other behavioral changes than just adding the inhaler.  Topping the list of weight reducing fragrances are Peppermint and Green Apple.

We are making Candles this week in both fragrances as well as to-go car and skin scents.  Check our Facebook page for availability later this week. ❤ Check them out and give it a try yourself. If nothing else, you will enjoy the clean fresh fragrances!

What fresh fragrances inspire you?

Twelfth Night

Twelfth Night, the eve of January 5, is in English folk custom the end of Christmas merrymaking and in ancient Celtic tradition the end of the 12-day winter solstice celebration.

On this night, it was customary for the assembled company to toast one another from the wassail bowl. In Old English, wassail means “Be in good health,” but the term also was applied to the drink itself (usually spiced ale) 😉

Wassail Recipe here.

(Today’s Candle fragrance: Spiced Cranapples & Ginger: Tart cranberries and sweet, juicy apples infused with warm ginger and a hint of spicy cinnamon.)
